Flame posts on rise on DIGG
Discouraging novice posters, flamers (those who write excessively negative comments in a voice ranging from chastizement to flat out extreme rudeness) have begun to raise their UGLY heads on the latest community bookmarking site digg.com.
Kevin Rose and gang are the reason I found digg. And I really dugg digg, but sifting through the negativity on the site to get to valuable stuff has become harder and harder. Sorry Kevin and gang, I might listen to Diggnation, but I wont be coming back to digg.com until the flames go away. Why should I post links to a place where the novice readers of my blog would go and end up trying to participate only to get flamed? There is enough negativity in this world to sift through that most people wont go through it on purpose. Oh, well, it was nice while it lasted.
