Are you every bit as successful, right now, as you know you could be? If not, what’s holding you back?

If you want a rich life, then enrich the lives of others. Rita Davenport

The more love you give to others, the more comes back to you, too-and not necessarily from those people you’ve gifted the most.R Davenport

When people tell you that you can’t do it, give yourself the gift of tunnel vision. Don’t listen to them. Listen to yourself, because you’ve got the answers within you right now. You’ve already got everything you need within you to be outrageously successful. Everything. Rita Davenport

To forgive is divine—and divinely human. I believe the most important thing we have to learn in this life is the capacity to forgive. The most difficult, even horrific circumstances sometimes show up in our lives for no seeming reason and to no perceptible good end. But whether or not we can see it at the time that it happens, there is always a reason, and there is always a good end. If you cannot find any rhyme or reason for why a particular painful or difficult episode in your life should have happened, then take a look at this possibility: perhaps it came about purely as a gift—a gift to help you learn the depth and power of forgiveness. You know the expression, “To err is human; to forgive is divine”? I love that, but I like to add three more words: To forgive is divine—and divinely human. Forgiveness makes for a richer life. It makes you a richer person. What if you feel you are not a very forgiving person? As they say, practice makes perfect, and even when that is not altogether true it does at least make it better. The ones who win the race in the long run are usually not the quickest or slickest, but the ones who have endured the most.

You have to take risks. You will only realize the full potential of your life when you allow the unexpected to happen.

Results are always more important than the time it takes to achieve them.

The reason why success is difficult is because the moment one puts a desire into motion the adversaries inside them are awaken. It is called the law of polarity. For every action is there is an equal and opposite reaction. Therefore, as an individual starts their quest, taking positive steps towards their goal, a negative force of equal proportion starts taking steps as well. It’s not noticeable at first because the positive steps are small. But as one grows closer to their goal the negative force gets louder. Negative self talk, temptation, self doubt, become louder and louder. One must be aware that the more resistance one receives, the closer one is to obtaining their goal. It’s when one resists the temptation to quit and takes the next step that they will have the ultimate victory. Napoleon Hill, author of Think And Grow Rich, said "Every adversity, every failure, and every heartache carries with it the seed of an equivalent or greater benefit." What you give power to has power over you, if you allow it. Too many of us are hung up on what we don’t have, can’t have, or won’t ever have.

Eric Standlee February 20, 2014 at 05:00PM

People who are able to find the one positive point in negative situations are the ones who never give up.

Remember you aren't doing it right if there isn't some friction. That's how you start a fire. They'll come around after they see your success, but they are right if you ever quit.

Eric Standlee February 20, 2014 at 12:01PM

You reap what you sow—that is the law of the harvest. A seed may be blown by the wind into a field, but it is a fluke. Similarly, if someone becomes a better leader when there has been no follow up, statistics suggest it is occurring largely by chance. To ensure the investment in leadership development is successful, consistent follow up will be the name of the game. Jack Zenger

You're either building trust or destroying it. You're either improving your loyalty or you're not improving it. And what I know is the people you're improving your loyalty with and the people that you're building trust with are the people you find important.
