What is Wakoopa? on Wakoopa

Saw Leo Laporte's tweet about a program that was listed on this and had to share:
With Wakoopa you know what software you've been using, and how long you've been using it. But you also get updated when a new version comes out or somebody writes a comment or review about your software.
Ever wondered how geeks keep up on the software their friends use?

the USPS is broken

Rude, abrasive, confrontational jerks work at the USPS.

Blah.  I hate having to pay tax to support such a corrupt and vile mafia-like organization.  And, that is probably being cruel to the mafia.

Twitter Tricks from CrusaderX Blog

Howdy Readers,

Thought you'd like to know a useful tool I have found for twitter.com.

First, do you twitter.com?  Manually twittering tweets from blackberries or worse from twitter.com just is so primary school.

There are firefox/flock tools that make reading and writting tweets quicker, but you know us geeks?  We love to do it the quickest and easiest way.

So, why twitter tweets and post on your blog?  Too much duplication of effort, right?

Enter twitterfeed.com and easier days.

This allows you to automatically send tweet when you post to your favorite blogs.  Now, your twitter is a central feed for all of your feeds.

Make getting all of your posts out to your readers simple.

Happy twittering.

This is Eric Standlee....

This is Eric Standlee. I am on the road down to--uptown park in Houston, Texas. And I'm gonna be meeting with somebody at 9:45 and somebody at 11 o'clock. And then in between I'll be doing networking with many other people who show up. And I was just thinking that for a recovering geek like myself, how did I get here and how can help others who realize what they need to be doing is business development no matter what they're doing if they're looking for a new job or if they're looking for new business for their company or if they're--the operations manager for a company. Everybody needs to be out networking like this, but there's 2 ways -- 2 different ways to network too and so what does that look like. And I wanted to... listen

More Gore Bashing: Glenn Beck

Glenn says in his newsletter:
In his new book Climate Confusion, Spencer dismantles the 'scientific consensus' that Gore often talks about. He joined Glenn today to talk about the shocking possibility that Gore is just a bit off on many of his facts. Read the transcript here, listen to the audio here.

If this Spencer is a flatearther to Gore, then so am I.

Eric Standlee

If global warming is real, I am behind helping make changes, but until that day comes and beyond I am dedicated to calling a spade a spade.

Glenn Beck: Is he NUTS? Thanking Oil Companies?

Glenn, have you gone off your rocker?
The "60 Minutes" piece wasn't just filled with misrepresentations of opinion; it had plenty of Gore-style hypocrisy. He was embroiled in controversy when it was revealed his mansion used 20 times more energy than the average American. His explanation? "Since then" his house has been retrofitted with solar panels. I'm sure Eliot Spitzer hasn't been renting many women since he was caught either. (Although I'm not betting my life on it.)
Gore definitely lives in a self-deluded fantasy that he can lie like the Clintons and get away with it.

Eric Standlee

PS. Anyone who stands with Gore is wrong by implication!!! Kyoto, reconsider you allies. Don't believe the lies by cons like Gore and Clinton and Obama.

FLOCK browser recommendation

This is going to my blog, a yahoogroup, and a couple of individuals.

I have been using flock and I cannot believe I am saying this but I have been encouraged to twitter an extreme amount lately.

@GuyKawasaki (twitter notation to reply/respond/message someone on Twitter) has been very active about his alltop site and truemors links and I have been adding friends on twitter.

I have been using flock along side firefox and opera as favorite browsers.  Now that I am twittering, I found that the friends feature in FLOCK makes alot of sense.  I can see facebook updates, twitter updates and flickr right now.  I will add as I can.  The twitter feature is helping me stay up on all of the twittering my friends are doing.

I have also found out you can setup gtalk and aim to do twitter too...

Happy twittering,

Help For Your Business

A friend sent me this and I had to share it.  Thanks Joe P. for sharing this:

If we are to be the influencers that God intends us to be:

Jos 1:8 "This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but
you shall meditate in it day and night, that you may observe to do
according to all that is written in it. For then you will make your
way prosperous, and then you will have good success.

Isa 48:17 Thus says the LORD, your Redeemer,
The Holy One of Israel:
"I am the LORD your God,
Who teaches you to profit,
Who leads you by the way you should go.

3Jo 1:2 Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in all things and be
in health, just as your soul prospers.

Deu 8:18 "And you shall remember the LORD your God, for it is He
who gives you power to get wealth, that He may establish His covenant
which He swore to your fathers, as it is this day.

Pro 3:5 Trust in the LORD with all your heart,
And lean not on your own understanding;
Pro 3:6 In all your ways acknowledge Him,
And He shall direct your paths.

Pro 3:7 Do not be wise in your own eyes;
Fear the LORD and depart from evil.
Pro 3:8 It will be health to your flesh,
And strength to your bones.

Pro 3:9 Honor the LORD with your possessions,
And with the firstfruits of all your increase;
Pro 3:10 So your barns will be filled with plenty,
And your vats will overflow with new wine.

1Ch 22:13 "Then you will prosper, if you take care to fulfill the
statutes and judgments with which the LORD charged Moses concerning
Israel. Be strong and of good courage; do not fear nor be dismayed.

PSALM 1:1
BLESSED is the man

Who walks not in the counsel of the ungodly,
Nor stands in the path of sinners,
Nor sits in the seat of the scornful;
Psa 1:2 But his delight is in the law of the LORD,
And in His law he meditates day and night.
Psa 1:3 He shall be like a tree
Planted by the rivers of water,
That brings forth its fruit in its season,
Whose leaf also shall not wither;
And whatever he does shall prosper.

Great words of encouragement and wisdom from the Bible.

[Recommendation] Dayna Marcum

I need to show this girl how to maximize her LinkedIn profile, but I have met Dayna in person and she is a pistol! She is flying 3x faster than I do and if someone could just bottle that energy, we'd all be buying it.

I am working with her on the board of the new Christian Business Leaders International which is starting in Houston. It is very much a Christian chamber of commerce.

Dayna's give in the deal is in social media and helping non-profits.

Be sure to visit her linkedin profile: http://www.linkedin.com/in/daynamarcum
