Bush Budget Plans for Iran Attack - Newsmax.com

This has to be important even though we know America doesn't stop Russia and Iran from attacking Israel in the end.

An item buried in President Bush's latest request for $190 billion in emergency war funding offers telling evidence that the U.S. could be preparing an attack on Iran.

I was in tears after this and I watched the semi's and the final too.

Fear Not

Posted: 29 Oct 2007 10:56 AM CDT

We have some incredible gifts within the body of Christ that are not being used. The following is absolutely beautiful. It touched me when I think of all the books to be written, songs to be written and sung, businesses to be built, that will never come to pass because people are in fear instead of faith. Fear not, as He is with you.

This is a story about a guy (car phone salesman), a guy like most of us, common, questioning his existence, measuring himself to others, never believing in his abilities or his worth. Then one day, his passion outgrew his fears as he stepped onto a stage, a stage that took him to a place beyond his self-imposed prison.

Watch the faces of the judges as this guy walks out on the stage. You can almost see what they are thinking as they pre-judge this guy based on his looks and the fact that he is a cell phone salesman. Maybe he had stopped believing in what people told him for so many years and ultimately started listening to his passion.

FW: Greetings From Liberia

I had to share this letter about the impact of my friend's book Slay Your Giant.

---------- Forwarded message ----------

Dear brother Tim Darnell,

I bring you heartfelt greetings and warmest Christian sentiments from the Body of Christ in Liberia.

I am Rev. David G. Snylder of the Charismatic Episcopal Church in Liberia and Founder of the Christian Alliance for Missions and Church Planting, an indigenous grass-root association of churches working together for the Lord's harvest in Liberia.

I have been relating with Brother Eric Standlee, a wonderful brother indeed. He has been encouraging me to take membership with AC which I agreed to do but have not been able to do so due to some constraints. I am praying about that and hope to register soon. I participated in the conference call and was amazed upon hearing the testimonies of many others on what the Lord is doing in their lives. He even sent me an electronic version of your book; "Slay Your Giant", a classical master piece indeed.

My wife and I read that book over and over and it was like a big log fell from our eyes! We are graciously blessed by your book and want to say thanks again.

I believe that you are an Apostle and Prophet of the Lord to the marketplace, helping to shape the mindsets of men and women who in tern will transform their generation, having maximum impact across the nations of the world. We want to thank the Lord for the insight given you to shape the destiny of nations.

We have been praying and want to invite you to come to our country, Liberia. We need the word the Lord has given you for the nations including Liberia. Every strata of our society needs this message of hope and restoration especially with what Liberians suffered over the years.

We shall be glad to hear from you very favorably and until then, may the Lord keep you safe in His arms.

His love is stronger than death.

Fwd: Tip 93 – Connect for the Success of Your Child

Keith Ferrazzi is the man who pushed me to learn how to network.  He has wonderful ideas that have lead to much success in my life.

Tip 93 - Connect for the Success of Your Child
 ------------------------------------------
You attended Back-To-School Night and you're on helping-with-homework duty, but that's not all you should be doing this new school year. You should be building a relationship with your child's teacher, who is an important person in your child's life. Public schoolteachers usually spend their own money on classroom supplies, so she would be grateful if you donated books in good condition. If your child is studying animals and their environments in science, and you read an article on cnn.com about polar bears and melting ice caps, print it out and send it in with your kid. You just gave the teacher a gift of 15 minutes of engaging instructional time. Let the teacher know that she is appreciated with a kind note or a few words. Being generous to your child's teacher is the right thing to do - but if your child gets in trouble or needs extra help, you will be glad that you've been helping her with her very difficult job all year long.

Operation Welcome Homes -- Support Our Troops

Even if you don't have a vacation home, you can help by spreading the word on this powerful mission to help our troops.

After recently purchasing a vacation home in Door County, Wisconsin, Don and Barbara Rubin realized how much of the time homes like theirs remain vacant. They envisioned a plan where “dormant” space in condos, time-shares and even commercial lodging facilities could be donated to uplift the morale of returning soldiers and their families.

"It's a way for those of us who are more fortunate to repay them for their service to us all," says Rubin. "Now we are hoping to see this vision expand. We plan to begin in Door County, developing a model that can be implemented coast to coast."

Please, contact don@operationwelcomehomes.org or call Operation Welcome Homes at: 202.257.5165 to learn more about how you can join in this effort.

Sears: Above and Beyond the Call of Duty

As a vet, I am very impressed to learn of Sears' support of our troops. I am going to look at Sears and buying there first as a way to support my troops who lay their lives on the line for our freedom. I suggest you consider it and making a donation to Heroes at Home:

Sears is indeed one of the employers who take additional steps to show support for employees involved in serving their country (either in the Reserves or the National Guard) by guaranteeing the continuance of their civilian pay (for up to 60 months) and allowing continued participation in life insurance, medical and dental programs.

Reality: Islamic extremists? Goal is worldwide domination Don Bordenkircher

June 07, 2007 I've just returned home after serving two years as national director of prison and jail operations in Iraq. During that time I resided within a mile of Sadar City, traveled countrywide to all correctional facilities, and coordinated activities with the U.S. military and the Department of Justice. I wore armor and carried weapons every day. I talked with many prisoners, most of whom spoke English as well as you and I do. They were of every skin color and looked just like you and me.

Since returning, it seems to me too many Americans work desperately hard to avoid reality about our presence in Iraq and our enemy. I want to share my reality.  All known terrorist groups were in Iraq before the United States invaded to liberate the Iraqi people. They were harbored, trained and paid for by terrorist operations worldwide. Members of these groups told me this and I believe them.

Our enemy is the radical fundamentalist arm of the worldwide nation of Islam. They use many names but embrace the same mission. Their mission is worldwide domination by fundamentalist Islam. They will destroy or kill anyone who does not convert to their Islam. They enjoy most destroying Muslims who do not share their vision for world domination. Members of these groups told me this and I believe them.

There were weapons of mass destruction in Iraq. The warheads were shipped to Syria and hidden in the Bekka Valley. The majority of casings are buried somewhere in the thousand miles of desert in Iraq. Prisoners told me this and I believe them.

There is not a civil war occurring in Iraq. There has always been sectarian distrust and acts of violence between Sunnis, Shiites and Kurds. Iran currently arms, trains, advises and monetarily supports the Sunnis and Shiites, as well as foreign terrorists in Iraq. The Kurds are functioning very
well and have a serious dislike of Iran. The mission of Iran in Iraq is to destabilize the country and, when America leaves, assume control without firing a shot. Iranian, Sunni and Shiite prisoners who engaged in these activities told me this and I believe them.

America won the battle for Iraq in three weeks. Now we must, as requested by the Iraqi government, assist in their war against radical fundamentalist Islam and stabilize their government. When will U.S. troops and civilians come home from Iraq?  My opinion, based on experience, is that our folks will come home when we withdraw our troops from Japan, Germany, France, Korea, Kosovo and
Bosnia.

Terrorist cells of radical fundamentalist Muslims are already embedded in the suburbs of America, South America and Canada. They will attack the United States when instructed. As prisoners told me, we will kill you, your wife and babies, burn your city, and condemn you to a torment in hell, until you convert and submit to the nation of Islam. So pray and prepare? I believe them and that is my reality.

Bordenkircher is a former Marshall County sheriff, Moundsville police chief and two-time warden of the old state penitentiary at Moundsville. He currently lives in Florida.

"If It Weren't For The United States military"
"There Would Be NO United States of America"
"Home of The Free, Because of the Brave"

What will it take for the majority of Americans to believe them?

Re: [TeamAC] TGIM- Recommended Reading & Audio

Great questions Catherine,

Start as many blogs as you can handle on blogger.com which hosts on blogspot.com.  You can set them up so that you can email your posts to them.  It makes it more simple.

And, once you have the blog created, always add an html/javascript element in the layout to your sidebar with a simple text ad like the one I have on http://crusaderx.blogspot.com at the top of my sidebar.

For every blog you create, once you have articles on it, take the address to feedburner.com and burn the feed.  The first time you do that, you need to create an account, then subsequent times you can add new blogs to the account burning them each time after you are logged in.  This way you don't have multiple accounts and it is much easier to manage.

But, more important is that once they are burned, you should turn on pingshot and email subscription for each feed in the feedburner interface.

Linkedin is a training I gave just recently and you can get the notes here: http://crusaderx.blogspot.com/2007/10/10-steps-to.html

I recommend starting with LinkedIn and then gradually adding profiles on myspace, facebook, plaxo, pathconnect and the plethora of other such sites with tons of traffic.  Here is a list of some in order of size (priority): http://crusaderx.blogspot.com/2007/06/social-networking-sites-rated-by-users.html

But, first watch this video on Social Networking 101: http://crusaderx.blogspot.com/2007/10/social-networking-101.html

Thanks for the great question and I hope that this starts to answer your question.  As always, if you have some questions that you think might be beneficial to my podcast listeners, then let's schedule a time for a phone call and I will put that up on my show.

Eric

Become Your Own Bank

Become Your Own Bank

When a new concept or product is introduced, do you find yourself being skeptical before you truly do your homework? I may be the only one that applies to, but I have struggled with that most of my adult life. Sometimes for me it is a matter of trust and at other times it is a matter of faith. There are also so many so-called experts out there that make their living selling products and services that compete directly with that new idea or concept. Look hard enough and you will find people to tell you what you want to hear.

Most of us have heard the adage, buy term insurance and invest the rest. And by the way, my current life insurance is term (and it serves a purpose--pure death protection while you are younger), but it will not be for long. Guess what? The term insurance industry is a cash cow for insurance companies. Why? The fact is that 99% of term insurance never pays out a death benefit. People get older and it gets too expensive and they let it lapse. Term is good while you are young to provide coverage only. The reason that many financial advisors have been against whole life is often because they make their livings focused on the securities/investment side of the equation vs. the insurance side.

Dividend paying whole life is a great product for our personal banker vehicle. This system is a long term approach and what many fail to realize is with dividend paying whole life, you can borrow from it (100% of your cash value) and pay yourself back the interest AND receive the dividends on your policy regardless of the loan. There is not another product in the investment community that allows for that, that I am aware of. I am pretty astute when it comes to investing and this is a no brainer for me personally to do. That is where my focus will start. I am thinking generational wealth, not what the masses are thinking. There is an entire industry that promoted buy term and invest the rest. The problem is, very few people (including myself) had the discipline to invest the rest regularly, so they wake up at 50 years of age, term has skyrocketed (or they get a condition and are no longer insurable) and they have little invested.

You know the saying an open mind, once expanded, cannot go back. Well, I have a new one...A closed mind, not expanded, will follow the masses and have what the masses have.

This product is such a good fit for AC as we address mindset, building income, and now building wealth. It is a 20+ year plan (for me) and most people don't have the mindset or focus to wrap their arms around that. I will also still invest in other areas to round out my personal investments. I am excited to open the Standlee Bank and Trust or I should name it Trust Standlee Bank, because I can trust my own bank to have our family's best interest (pun intended) at heart.

Have a blessed week.

Eric

Fwd: Taxes & Urine Testing

This was too good to let sit still.

Thanks Jim for sharing this:

---------- Forwarded message ----------

Like a lot of people, I have a job.  I work, they pay me.
I pay my taxes and the government distributes my taxes as they see fit.

In order to get that paycheck, I am required to pass a random urine

test, which I have no problem with.

What I do have a problem with is the distribution of my taxes to people

who don't have to pass a urine test.  Shouldn't one have to pass a urine

test to get a welfare check, because I have to pass one to earn it for them?

Please understand, I have no problem with helping people get back on

their feet.  I do, on the other hand, have a problem with helping someone

sit on  their butt.

Could you imagine how much money the state would save if people had to

pass a urine test to get a public assistance check.

Jim
