One of my clients has been racked again by something and rather than clean the network and figure out what is slowing everything whether it is a virus or it is just a microsoft patch, we are considering removing all windows boxes except a terminal server with all windows software needed and remote into this box from linux workstations in the LAN.
The security landscape is unbelievably costly anymore.
