A Summation

Something to think about: we laugh, but others really think this?

I'm voting Democrat because I'm way too irresponsible to own a gun, and I know that my local police are all I need to protect me from murderers and thieves.

I'm voting Democrat because I love the fact that I can now marry  whatever I want. I've decided to marry my Cub.

I'm voting Democrat because I believe oil companies' profits of 4% on a gallon of gas are obscene but the government taxing the same gallon of gas at 15% isn't.

I'm voting Democrat because I believe the government will do a  better job of spending the money I earn than I would.

I'm voting Democrat because freedom of speech is fine as long as nobody is offended by it.

I'm voting Democrat because when we pull out of Iraq I trust that the bad guys will stop what they're doing because they now think we're good people.

I'm voting Democrat because I believe that people who can't tell us if it will rain on Friday CAN tell us that the polar ice caps will melt away in ten years if I don't start driving a Prius.

I'm voting Democrat because I'm not concerned about the slaughter of millions of babies so long as we keep all death row inmates alive.

I'm voting Democrat because I believe that business should not be allowed to make profits for themselves. They need to break even and give the rest away to the government for redistribution as THEY see fit.

I'm voting Democrat because I believe liberal judges need to rewrite the Constitution every few days to suit some fringe kooks who would NEVER get their agendas past the voters.

The real American Dream is to build a successful business NOT be given money stolen from someone else for political gains.

Ecology and politics

I like most of my generation are disgusted with Washington and both candidates for president in general.  I have voted Republican mostly because I don't want Mr. "I love Europe and Terrorists more than America" to get into office and spend out country into a deep depression.

What I cannot stand is that driving a Prius and being ecologically minded somehow makes me automatically in that liberal's camp.

In fact, I believe that just like the fact that the media has missed most of my disenfranchised generation, noone understands that we are all about ecology without having to be liberal in our politics.  In fact, it is my opinion that there are many conservatives who are also excited about electric vehicles and saving the planet in my generation.  I would bet that the only reason we don't hear about that is because my generation is the bust generation and is so small that noone cares about us.  In fact, maybe that is why we are disenfranchised because noone does care what we think.

Well, this generation is next, small or not.  If the country survives the next four years, then we might see a group of angry buster generation "kids" like me raise up and get angry about the pork, the politics as usual, the  "how I see it" not how it is status quo.  We are sick of it Washington. You are shaming out country.

If Washington doesn't clean up and stop playing the same old games, I am sure that Biden was right and something bad will happen.  So, get some cahones and make the change now instead of having to fix it later.

Back in the 1980s, management experts W. Edwards Deming and Peter Drucker wrote about the importance of an organization understanding its purpose in order to be successful. Unfortunately, we didn’t get it.

McCain is a racist!

The media went crazy when people questioned Barack Obama's friendships---they defended their savior and said it's a distraction from the issues--yadda yadda yadda. They, for the most part, ignored Obama's shady friends, but when it comes to John McCain's great, great, great, great, great, great grandfather (what's that, like 489 AD?) who owned a slave. Of course that is front page news!

Obama and Iranian Caviar

Obama is out there as the champion of the average Joe and he knows what you are going through and he so bravely is willing to pay more taxes (as he said during the debate) because he's fighting for you! So it must have been a mistake when he and his wife ordered some Iranian caviar while staying at the Waldorf Astoria, right? Read the transcript. Insiders listen here.

It's an abortion Friday!

Abortion came up as a topic during the last debate and Obama flat out lied about his vote from when he was a State Senator in Illinois. Professor Robert George from Princeton University joined Glenn today to explain why Obama's abortion stance is one of the farthest left he's ever heard. Check out their conversation and read this article by Professor George which has one of the best explanations of why the 'pro choice' label is one of the biggest political spins of all time. Read the transcript. Insiders listen here.

Can McCain Win?

Glenn spoke with pollster Scott Rasmussen about McCain's chances on November 4th, and the Bradley effect -- what is it and will it impact this race? Read the transcript. Insiders listen here.

Entertaining clip of the day

The media has called Sarah Palin an idiot since she was announced as McCain's VP choice. The media has largely ignored Joe Biden (hmm, possibly because he's a ticking campaign killing time bomb?), so it's possible many people may not have seen this latest gaffe from Biden. While any rational human being would admit that this is just a silly mistake, just imagine if Sarah Palin or George W. Bush would have made this mistake. Watch the video. Enjoy!

Glenn's new gig

As reported on the Drudgereport yesterday, Glenn has indeed made the decision to leave CNN and continue his television career at Fox News. While Glenn is very excited about working with everyone at Fox---he will equally miss working with the many wonderful people from CNN. Get the details.

Fwd: Judge McCorkle

This was forwarded to me and I wanted to make sure you got to see it too.

+++++

Dear Friends,

Early voting starts today.  Attached you will find a list of the early voting locations for Harris County, Texas.  I hope this makes it easier for you to get out and vote!

As you consider whom to vote for I want to share some facts about a Judge running for reelection in the 133rd Judicial District.

Some facts about a judge seeking reelection: Judge Lamar McCorkle

My company filed a solid lawsuit  against a company for fraud.

The case came to trial in 2002 before Judge Lamar McCorkle. The trial lasted for three days.
Judge McCorkle never ruled on the case.

After the first year, our attorneys  requested a hearing, demanding that a decision be rendered.  At that hearing Judge McCorkle told our attorneys that he could not render a decision because he had lost all the files.

Two years after the trial, the plaintiff (my company) and the defendant made an outside settlement agreement.  My firm spent unbelievable legal fees keeping the attorneys engaged simply because this judge would not judge.

Going in to the trial my attorneys from Bracewell told me that McCorkle was notorious for NOT ruling because he did not want his decisions overturned on appeal.

What kind of job allows you to get paid for NOT doing your job?  I am a lifelong card-carrying contributing Republican and I will once again vote against this man whom I believe has his Judicial position solely because he is riding the coat tails of the Republican majority in our area.

Please vote against Lamar McCorkle.  Let's judge his performance and send him out into the real world to earn a living.

Sincerely

Prime Minister John Howard - Australia

Muslims who want to live under Islamic Sharia law were told on Wednesday to get out of Australia , as the government targeted radicals in a bid to head off potential terror attacks.

Separately, Howard angered some Australian Muslims on Wednesday by saying he supported spy agencies monitoring the nation's mosques. Quote: ' IMMIGRANTS, NOT AUSTRALIANS, MUST ADAPT. Take It Or Leave It. I am tired of this nation worrying about whether we are offending some individual or their culture. Since the terrorist attacks on Bali , we have experienced a surge in patriotism by the majority of Australians.'

' This culture has been developed over two centuries of struggles, trials and victories by millions of men and women who have sought freedom'

' We speak mainly ENGLISH, not Spanish, Lebanese, Arabic, Chinese, Japanese, Russian, or any other language. Therefore, if you wish to become part of our society . Learn the language!'

' Most Australians believe in God. This is not some Christian, right wing, political push, but a fact, because Christian men and women, on Christian principles, founded this nation, and this is clearly documented. It is certainly appropriate to display it on the walls of our schools. If God offends you, then I suggest you consider another part of the world as your new home, because God is part of our culture.'

' We will accept your beliefs, and will not question why. All we ask is that you accept ours, and live in harmony and peaceful enjoyment with us.'

' This is OUR COUNTRY, OUR LAND, and OUR LIFESTYLE, and we will allow you every opportunity to enjoy all this. But once you are done complaining, whining, and griping about Our Flag, Our Pledge, Our Christian beliefs, or Our Way of Life, I highly encourage you take advantage of one other great Australian freedom, ' THE RIGHT TO LEAVE'.'

' If you aren't happy here then LEAVE. We didn't force you to come here. You asked to be here. So accept the country YOU accepted.'

Maybe if we circulate this amongst ourselves, American citizens will find the backbone to start speaking and voicing the same truths.

Why I Support John McCain

JohnMcCain.com

Comments from Eric Standlee
Make a contribution now to support keeping America a Democracy and not a socialistic communistic country.

Why John McCain
Early on in his life as a midshipman at the Naval Academy, the most important lesson John McCain learned was that to sustain his self-respect for a lifetime it would be necessary for him to have the honor of serving something greater than his self-interest -- service to his country. John McCain has always put his country's interests before any party, special interest and even his own self-interest. He has always and will always do what is right for our country.
John McCain has a strong record of working across the aisle to reform how business is done in Washington. Throughout his career of public service, John McCain has worked across party aisles with Republicans and Democrats alike to reform our campaign finance system, confirm qualified judges like Chief Justice John Roberts and Justice Sam Alito, and enhance our homeland security. He spoke out against his own party's out-of-control spending, against the Administration to change a failing strategy in Iraq, and against an energy bill that was full of giveaways to Big Oil companies.
To keep our nation prosperous, strong and growing we have to rethink, reform and reinvent: the way we educate our children; train our workers; deliver health care services; support retirees; fuel our transportation network; stimulate research and development; and harness new technologies.
Under a McCain presidency the United States will experience robust economic growth, and Americans will again have confidence in their economic future. A reduction in the corporate tax rate from the second highest in the world to one on par with our trading partners; the low rate on capital gains; allowing business to deduct in a single year investments in equipment and technology, while eliminating tax loopholes and ending corporate welfare, will spur innovation and productivity, and encourage companies to keep their operations and jobs in the United States. Doubling the size of the child exemption will put more disposable income in the hands of taxpayers, further stimulating growth.
Under a McCain presidency the United States will be well on the way to independence from foreign sources of oil; progress that will not only begin to alleviate the environmental threat posed from climate change, but will greatly improve our security as well. John McCain has proposed a comprehensive energy plan - the Lexington Project - that will lower the price of gas while utilizing every energy source to move us toward energy independence. He believes we need to develop advanced alternative energy sources while developing existing energy sources by drilling offshore, expanding nuclear power and encouraging clean coal technologies.
Under a McCain presidency health care will become more accessible to more Americans than at any other time in history. Reforms of the insurance market; putting the choice of health care into the hands of American families rather than exclusively with the government or employers; walk in clinics as alternatives to emergency room care; paying for outcome in the treatment of disease rather than individual procedures; and competition in the prescription drug market will wring out the runaway inflation once endemic in our health care system.
Finally to secure the peace for future generations, John McCain will end the war in Iraq with victory and bring our troops home with honor. John McCain hates war. And he knows very personally how terrible its costs are. But he knows, too, that the course of immediate withdrawal in Iraq could draw us into a wider war with even greater sacrifices; put peace further out of reach, and Americans back in harmâ??s way. John McCain will also win the war in Afghanistan by increasing the size of forces there and adopting a true counterinsurgency strategy, much like the one that has been successful in Iraq that John McCain advocated. He will continue to hunt down al Qaeda and Osama bin Laden.
John McCain has the strength to keep America safe and the courage to secure the peace.
There are many public causes where service can make our country a stronger, better one than we inherited. Wherever there is a hungry child, a great cause exists to serve. Where there is an illiterate adult, a great cause exists to serve. Wherever there are people who are denied the basic rights of Man, a great cause exists to serve. Wherever there is suffering, a great cause exists to serve. John McCain has spent his life serving our country and will continue to work with anyone who sincerely wants to get this country moving again. He will listen to any idea that is offered in good faith and intended to help solve our problems, not make them worse. He will seek the counsel of members of Congress from both parties in forming government policy before asking them to support it.
From the day he is sworn into office until the last hour of his presidency, John McCain will work with anyone, of either party, to make this country safe, prosperous and proud.

Fwd: Joe the Plumber spoke for us all

This so spoke to what I believe.

++++++forwarded

Dear Eric,

Wednesday night's debate introduced America to "Joe the Plumber." While Joe is an actual person who is working hard to make ends meet, he represents more than just being a plumber.

"Joe" represents a fundamental difference between what we believe as Republicans and what Democrats want for our country.

When Joe asked Barack Obama about how he was going to have his taxes raised under Obama's Tax Plan, Senator Obama responded: "I think when you spread the wealth around, it's good for everybody."

I think Joe responded for all of us when he said: "It's not right for someone to decide you made too much---that you've done too good and now we're going to take some of it back."

Simply put, Barack Obama believes Americans should pay more taxes to pay for more liberal programs. Obama believes we should take more money from hard working Americans like you to pay for programs supported by the liberal left wing of his party.

It's outrageous, and no wonder Joe said that Obama's Tax Plan "infuriates me." We should all be infuriated!

Democrats are already planning a victory Party that you and I know is premature. They are celebrating the possibility of having liberals in control of the White House, the Senate and the House.

If this happens, they will take more of our hard earned money and "spread the wealth around" as Barack Obama told Joe the Plumber.

Eric, we cannot let this happen and that is why your immediate contribution to the Republican Party's Campaign for Victory is urgently needed.

Please click here now to give $100, $75, $50 or whatever you can afford. If Barack Obama is elected President and Harry Reid and Nancy Pelosi are running Congress, all hard working Americans will be paying more in taxes to support their liberal government programs.

Election Day is fast approaching and now is the time to give generously to help us elect conservative Republicans who can stop this liberal trifecta takeover of our government. Please contribute today by clicking here now.

Sincerely,

Tom Cole, M.C.
Chairman

P.S. Eric, remember, the Republican Party's Campaign for Victory receives a three-to-one match on all contributions we receive making your contribution of $100 today turn into $400, $50 turn into $200 and $25 into a $100. You can contribute by clicking here now. Thank you for supporting our Republican candidates.

Something to think about

John Glenn (DEMOCRAT) said this ----- It should make us all think a little:

There were 39 combat related killings in  Iraq  in January.   In the fair city of  Detroit  there were 35 murders in the month of January.  That's just one American city, about as deadly as the entire war-torn country of   Iraq .

When some claim that President Bush shouldn't have started this war, tell them the following :

FDR (DEMOCRAT) led us into World War II.  Germany  never attacked us;  Japan did.  From 1941-1945, 450,000 lives were lost ... An average of 112,500 per year.

Truman (DEMOCRAT) finished that war and started one in  KoreaNorth Korea  never attacked us. From 1950-1953, 55,000 lives were lost .... An average of 18,334 per year.

John F. Kennedy (DEMOCRAT) started the  Vietnam  conflict in 1962.   Vietnam  never attacked us.

Johnson (DEMOCRAT) turned Vietnam  into a quagmire.   From 1965-1975, 58,000 lives were lost ... An average of 5,800 per year.

Clinton (DEMOCRAT) went to war in  Bosnia without UN or French consent.   Bosnia  never attacked us. He was offered Osama bin Laden's head on a platter three times by  Sudan  and did nothing. Osama has attacked us on multiple occasions.

This one is a fact that makes me mad as hell.

In the years since terrorists attacked us, President Bush has liberated two countries, crushed the Taliban, crippled al-Qaida, put nuclear inspectors in Libya, Iran, and, North Korea without firing a shot, and captured a terrorist who slaughtered 300,000 of his own people. And the Democrats are complaining about how long the war is taking.

But Wait, There's more.

It took less time to take  Iraq than it took Janet Reno (DEMOCRAT) to take the Branch Davidian compound.  That was a 51-day operation .

We've been looking for evidence for chemical weapons in  Iraq for less time than it took Hillary Clinton (DEMOCRAT) to find the Rose law firm billing records.

It took less time for the 3rd Infantry Division and the Marines to destroy the Medina Republican Guard than it took Ted Kennedy to call the police after his Oldsmobile sank at Chappaquiddick.

It took less time to take
Iraq  than it took to count the votes in  Florida  !!!

Our Commander-In-Chief is doing a GREAT JOB!
 The Military morale is high!
The biased media hopes we are too ignorant to realize the facts.
But Wait ....There's more!

JOHN GLENN (on the Senate floor -
January 26, 2004 )

Some people still don't understand why military personnel do what they do for a living. This exchange between Senators John Glenn and Senator Howard Metzenbaum is worth reading. Not only is it a pretty impressive impromptu speech, but it's also a good example of one man's explanation of why men and women in the armed services do what they do for a living.

This IS a typical, though sad, example of what some who have never served think of the military.

Senator Metzenbaum (speaking to Senator Glenn):
'How can you run for Senate when you've never held a real job?'

Senator Glenn (D-Ohio):  'I served 23 years in the United States Marine Corps.  I served through two wars. I flew 149 missions.
My plane was hit by anti-aircraft fire on 12 different occasions.  I was in the space program.  It wasn't my checkbook, Howard; it was my life on the line.  It was not a nine-to-five job, where I took time off to take the daily cash receipts to the bank. I ask you to go with me, as I went the other day . .. To a veteran's hospital and look those men ... With their mangled bodies ... In the eye, and tell THEM they didn't hold a job!

You go with me to the Space Program at NASA and go, as I have gone, to the widows and orphans of Ed White, Gus Grissom and Roger Chaffee .. And you look those kids in the eye and tell them that their DAD'S didn't hold a job.

You go with me on Memorial Day and you stand in  Arlington   National   Cemetery , where I have more friends buried than I'd like to remember, and you watch those waving flags . You stand there, and you think about this nation, and you have the gall to tell ME that those people didn't have a job?

What about Metzenbaum? For those who don't remember During W.W.II, Howard Metzenbaum was an attorney representing the Communist Party in the  USA ..
Now he's a Senator!

If you can read this, thank a teacher. If you are reading it in English thank a Veteran.

It might not be a bad idea to keep this circulating. I AM!!!

Fwd: Letter to Congressman Kevin Brady R-Texas

My friend sent this letter to her congressman.

I agree.

Eric
---------- Forwarded message ----------

Below is a copy of a letter I sent to Congressman Brady today, Tuesay, Oct. 7th.  I am putting my elected officials on notice that they do not have my automatic support solely on the condition of being a Registered Republican in Montgomery Conty, TX.  If we don't start demanding accountability from our elected officials, how can we demand it of ourselves and our children?  This may get me in hot water, but you as my friends won't be surprised I have a strong opinion.
I give you my humble but heart-felt opinions..

xxxx xxxxxx

Dear Congressman Brady:

I am not only disappointed your approval of the $700B bailout bill, but your apparent change of enthsuiasm over voting for said bill.  Your LAs in both Texas and D.C. said of the 1st measure that "this was the best decision for your constituents".  On the day the House passed the measure, your LAs in both offices said that you "reluctantly voted for the measure".  Why? If the bill is bad..kill it, change it or create a new one.  The House Dems did not have enough votes, but with your approval, you guaranteed that my family now owes an additional $120K to the federal government..thank you for that.

I live in a house that we can afford, drive cars that we can afford because they are paid off in full), have ZERO CREDIT CARD DEBT, take vacations we can afford, and live a nice life here in The Woodlands.  Now, with your vote, you have punished me and my family for doing the right thing..living within our means.

My 2nd grader understands the economics of this Bill, why can't Congress?  He knows that if he doesn't have enough lunch money to pay for lunch, he cannot just demand that every child, teacher and administrator at his school dig into their pockets to pay for his lunch.  Or, worse still, if he does have the money, but wants something extra aka "a treat"(Congress calls it "pork") like an ice cream, it is not the right thing to demand those same people to pay for his treat.

Those of us who live within our means and bought houses we can afford are seeing our retirement, savings, and financial futures going down the drain while the responsible parties pocket their millions, with ZERO CONSEQUENCES!

I am done!  I am done with the lack of responsibility you, our elected Representatives seem to have for your constituents.  I am done, with supporting every bill, candidate, and measure along Republican Party lines.  And, most importantly, I am done voting for incumbents, just because I don't know the other options well.  I am done keeping my mouth shut, and I am done complaining and not taking action.

This is my official notice to you, my Representative, that I expect and demand answers and explanations for your votes.  I expect and demand, that you, as my Representative vote FOR YOUR CONSTITUENTS, and, if you are unsure as to our opinions, there's a simple solution..ASK!!

Mr. Brady, I voted for you because you represented yourself as a Conservative.  I am no longer taking the word "Republican" to equate "Conservative".  Congress has, for far too long played Monopoly with my money, and I am done.  There is so much money at stake, that it is impossible for you to fathom the real impact on each individual American.  The inability to put reality on debt/money is similar to how a compulsive gambler doesn't stop gambling because he's using chips instead of cold hard cash.

Mr. Brady, you may feel comfortable giving each of your constituents, children included, a $38K bill payable to the federal government to "bail out" the "poor souls" who made bad financial decisions. But as your constituent, I am not.

You see, I was taught that decisions have consequences, sometimes, good, sometimes bad, and the decisions of people to make bad loans, to individuals/companies with bad credit is a bad decision, one that has natural consequences.

You, as our legislator let those natural consequences disappear in favor of more rules and regulations..its no different than the child who cheats on a test, and is told its not HIS fault he cheated, but the fault of the teacher and the school, because they did not provide enough security for test-taking!

When is Congress going to practice what we teach on a fundamentally simple-level to our children?  There is responsibility for your actions, consequences for decisions, and deductive reasoning to determine the best course of action.  You, as our Congressman, did none of the above, and as your constituent, I can assure you that I will work to make sure that you are held accountable for your vote, whether it be face-to-face meetings, town-hall meetings, or removal from office.

I am not adverse to voting my conscience and not party lines. I am not adverse to voting for another Republican on the ticket if the opportunity arises. I am not adverse to making sure that you report to me, and every other person you represent, however that may be accomplished. I am beyond disappointed, and am now angry.  I am not the only one, but may be the most verbal, but I won't be the lone voice I assure you.

Regards, xxxx xxxxx

Helping fund companies in financial crisis needing to make payroll

How is your company or the companies of your friends' doing?  Do they need funding?

American Prudential Capital is funding commercial companies right now who cannot get funding from their banks and don't want to just put it on the credit cards and don't want to try to go to venture capital or angel investors and give up equity.

Watch this video:

Unbelievable!

Any elected officials wonder why we the people have lost all faith in them doing the right thing.

If you have a kid, you know that if you let them get away with something as simple as this they will be doing more bad things than that very soon.

Bad bad bad boys and girls of the government. Stop it. Our kids are watching. Hell. Your kids are watching. Start holding each other accountable or step down.

Shame on you. What are we the people paying you for if you cannot show up too?

A letter to the public

As you may have noticed, the financial crisis has caused a freezing of the credit markets and is affecting the small business community hardest.

Companies are being told that they are on the no-loan list or that they cannot get a raise in their credit lines until this crisis can see the light at the end of the tunnel.

It is crucial now for the health of our country to help these small commercial firms get the funding they need to make payroll.  80% of all jobs created are created in this space and if these companies cannot get the funding they need to move forward they will have to layoff employees.  We have to avert this crisis.

So, I am writing you to ask you to look through your contacts and see if there is anyone you know who might be a small company faced with no way to make payroll and no way to take on that huge deal that was just about to land because they don't have to cash flow to float it until it pays.

I am talking about commercial companies in many verticals like staffing, manufacturing, oil field services, and in fact just about every b2b service industry.

Please consider helping these friends, clients, potential customers, and family to make it through this crisis.

Our company, American Prudential Capital, can and does help companies like these already.  We just need your help to get the word out to those in need so that they too have the option available to them.

It doesn't cost a company to get started with us and in fact the only cost is when they fund and they are in total control of that.  So, if they think they might want the option of being able to tap into alternative funding like the kind that our company has been providing for 20 years, then they should get signed up and get ready for when they might need it.

We are not in competition with banks and in fact we would love to help banks keep their customers as well during these rough times.  If you know of any bankers who we can discuss the track record of our ongoing strategic partnerships with banks that is helping them keep and grow future loan customers and even generate non-fee income, we believe this will help keep many banks from having to worry so much about this crisis as well.

If you can think of companies that are b2b whom we should get an application to or answer their questions, could you please help us get the word out?

If you can think of banks that you might know who might need a way to greenhouse the loan customers they are denying right now, please introduce us.

I appreciate your help in this matter, and your time reading this email.  I look forward to hearing from you.
